Next Blogger Network Event | London

#NBNEvent

The other Friday, I had the absolute pleasure of the afternoon off work and attending the Next Blogger Network event in London. The event was held in the 100 Room of the Ace Hotel in Shoreditch and my god.. What a stunning venue!

I didn't manage to get there for the start of the event, however, I did make it just in time for Afternoon Tea. BIG WINS.

#NBNEvent

This consisted of salt beef, pickled gherkin & gem lettuce, cucumber sandwiches, egg sandwiches and mini sausage rolls. The dessert section has fruit skewers, mini scones with clotted cream and passionfruit tart & coconut meringue. YUM.

For drinks, we had the choice between tea & coffee or prosecco. Can you guess which one I went for? *coughproseccocough*

Luckily, this was a drop in event so people could come and go whenever they liked. This was great as I felt significantly less awkward turning up a bit later. I’m so glad Next accommodate naturally late people like myself ;)

I arrived looking like a bit of a lost sheep, but thankfully it wasn’t long before I met some lovely new blogger pals: Sian, Sophie, Albertine and Elise. After eating multiple sausage rolls (and skittles) of course. Food first.

The first half of the event included a range of different things. There was a nail bar offering complimentary manicures in one corner, and Monica Beatrice Welburn showing off her insane Instagram flat lay skills in the other. All of that as well as a big, cosy open space to mingle with each other.

Whilst we were mingling, we got chatting to Anna and Lily about Instagram and cracking up at Anna's iPad selfie days! She's such a babe.

During the latter half of the event, we grabbed some complimentary mojitos and listened to a special guest panel including The Anna Edit, Lily Pebbles, Niomi Smart and social media whizz Chloe Digital. We were given the chance to ask them any questions about blogging, YouTube and anything in relation to a social media careeer aspect.

If you saw my Instagram live video, you’ll see they shared some super useful tips (some of which I literally can’t remember for the life of me) but I will really put the ones I can remember to good use as much as I can!

The evening consisted of general chitchat, photo taking, more alcohol consumption and food!

For dinner, we were given mini fish and chips, bangers and mash and asparagus and pea risotto. Now, I just wanna day one thing.. I hate peas. Like, literally despise them. But the risotto was just EVERYTHING. I won't say I'm a pea convert, but I definitely enjoyed it a lot!

Next also went all out to provide all the little touches in and around the event such as deodorant, perfume, dry shampoo, Tic tacs.. Literally everything you could ever need in a girls toilet! Because of this, I am now fully in love with their Pink Macaroon fragrance - it smells insane!

Thankfully, the sun decided to actually make a brief appearance so we could go outside on the pretty roof terrace and enjoy the sunset views over London!

As much as I complain about London, I do kind of love it in times like these!

As we were leaving the event, we were given such generous goody bags!

This included: A gorgeous red circle across-the-body bag (which I have already got a lot of wear out of!), The Chiltern Collection luxe ceramic candle, some red tassel earrings (enough to make Pat Butcher proud), Next macaroons, A 3-in-1 shadow stick, red high shine lip gloss, a Next Blogger Network notepad (with the softest cover) and a Next pen!*

The whole event went so quickly and I had such an amazing time! Thank you so much to Next for having me and for the amazing opportunity to meet so many great, new people! I can’t wait for the Next one.. hurhurhur.

Did you go to the #NBNEvent? What events have you been to lately? :)

**I was invited by Next as part of their blogger network to come along and review. All view, photos  and food cravings are 100% honest and my own. Products from the goody bag were kindly gifted to me.**

  3. Looks like such an amazing event. I love the look of the food (obviously) and the fact that there were things to do, rather than just milling around looking awkward!! :) xx
