March Favourites

Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing good and March treated you well?
I can't believe it's favourites time again?! I get so excited about writing these posts because I love reading them, as much I love writing about some new (or not so new) discoveries I've made. Here's what I loved last month!

Soap and Glory are way up there on my list of favourite skincare brands at the moment. I was on the lookout to find a Hot Cloth Cleanser which wasn't as expensive as Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, but still had natural ingredients. I was browsing the Boots website when all of a sudden I came across The Ultimelt.

It is slightly cheaper than Liz Earle retailing at £9.99, but I managed to snap it up at 1/3 off for £6.99! Win. This dissolves your makeup perfectly at the end of the day and gives your face a really nice clean, relaxed feeling. This has currently replaced my 3-in-1 Daily Cleanser as it is much more multi-purpose for me personally.

The formula is quite creamy and is suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin. The product itself smells absolutely wonderful and contains Pro-Vitamin B, Lavender, Sweet Almond, Orange, Clarifying Sage, Rose and Geranium Oils. Aromatherapy heaven! The only thing I would say is that although it removes some traces of eye make up, it doesn't remove it all. Either way, a fab dupe for Liz Earle C&P and I will be purchasing again.

I always see bloggers rave on about this product and knew that I needed to try it as soon as payday arrived. My local Boots finally had it back in stock after what felt like forever and I couldn't have rushed any quicker to the tills. I opted for the shade 'Light' which thankfully turned out to be a perfect match for my deathly pale skin.

It has a sponge applicator, which to be honest I thought would really put me off, however it's actually so gentle to apply under your eyes. I find this so easy to use, as it distributes just the right amount of product onto your skin and also doesn't crease as the day goes on. It blends so well and the coverage really surprised me, considering how light the formula is! The concealer is enriched with Goji Berry and Haloxyl, which are both fab for helping tired eyes look more awake and reduces any unwanted puffiness - which for me I always need. I couldn't recommend this more!

It's that time of year again when my skin just has a complete meltdown and doesn't know what it's doing. I've seen lots of good things about the Superdrug Vitamin E range, although as I've never really had normal/ dry skin, I didn't think it would help me at all. I started to get some dry patches on my face not too long ago, so I thought I'd give this a try.

Since using this, it has made my skin appear much brighter with no dry patches in sight. It's a great moisturiser for the Summer as it contains SPF 15 and smells like sun cream which to me screams holidays and hot weather! *daydreams* The moisturiser does have a slight shimmer to it which helps reflect the light, to give your skin an instant glow. It's filled with so many antioxidants and vitamins to protect your skin from any environmental damage, such as sunburn. Although this product does focus on dry skin, it's worked wonders for my combination complexion and I've already purchased more from the range.

I saw this advertised on the Freedom Make Up Instagram page a while ago and I thought it was such an interesting concept. Luckily enough, I managed to get my hands on some in my Make Up Revolution 2nd Birthday Party goody bag. It's basically a highlighter in cream form, where you can either apply it to your cheekbones as a highlighter, or alternatively mix it in with your foundation.

I used to be all for the matte look when it came to foundation, but lately I've been loving the more dewy glow/healthy look, especially as we're coming into spring. I mix a small dab of this in with my foundation and it gives such a wonderful finish to my face (I haven't quite mastered the strobe yet!) The only small downer I have with this product is that it gives off quite an aniseed/marzipan scent which I am not a fan of, although that's not enough to stop me using it!

I have always been a fan of MAC products, so when I was browsing duty free before Barcelona a few months ago, I was desperately on the hunt to find a nude coloured lipstick. I feel like my collection is way too overrun with dark, berry shades and don't get me wrong, I still love them - I just felt like I needed something a little more subtle.

This is a very soft colour with pink/brown undertones to it and really brightens up a your average every day makeup look. At a first glance, it looks a lot like Velvet Teddy but it's slightly more pink, as opposed to the more peachy/beige colour that Velvet Teddy gives off. This is a satin finish lipstick which is brilliant because it's not as drying as their matte range, but still gives you a slight sheen. I feel like this would literally suit any skin tone and it has definitely turned out to be one of my favourite lipsticks ever!

Marks And Spencer Pressed And Crushed Pineapple, Watermelon and Aloe Vera Juice

Ok, I totally get putting a drink into your favourites is a bit random, but this was something that I just had to include! I recently discovered this before one of my many recent trips up to London, when I popped into M&S at Brighton Station. I've always been a fan of fruit juice (especially if it's real fruit) so I thought I'd give this a try in hopes of feeling less guilty about my shitty (mostly) junk food diet.

The ingredients to this do sound like an odd combination, but I can 100% promise you it's not as weird as it sounds. I love anything that contains Watermelon because it just tastes so good, especially in juice. Aswell as all the delicious fruits, it's actually 2 of your 5-a-day. The texture is a bit odd to begin with, not quite the texture of a smoothie but not as thin as a cordial. I've been having one of these with/for my breakfast as I'm not always one to go out of my way to eat fruit or eat breakfast, so this makes me feel a tonne better! Marks and Spencers really need to start making these in larger bottles because I definitely need a lifetime supply of this stuff!

(I'm not sure about this being Vegan, however I know it's definitely suitable for all of your Vegetarians out there!)

Yankee Candle Pink Dragon Fruit Candle

Oh my god. This candle is literally my spring/summer all time favourite, so much so that I refuse to burn it in Winter. I got this in my lovely little local Yankee Candle store before it closed down (RIP Worthing shop </3) in one of their many loyalty club sales. This candle smells exactly how you would imagine.. Tropical, fruity goodness and I honestly can't get enough of it. I strongly urge you go and smell this yourself to see how good it is!

So this month was a bit of a mixture, but I thought I'd spice things up a little!
What did you love last month? :)
