Baie Botanique Rose Renew Regenerating Face Cream

Baie Botanique Rose Renew Regenerating Face Cream Review

Finding the right skincare to match my erratic skin type can sometimes be a chore to say the least. My skin fluctuates from an oily mess and a planet of spots, to a dry and sensitive pain in the arse. I basically never know what I'm going to be waking up to from day-to-day. I've come to realise over the years that as much as I don't always want to admit it, it does pay to have great skin.

Baie Botanique - a London-based cruelty free and vegan skincare company, recently approached me asking if I'd be interested in trying their new Rose Renew Face Cream* and there's no way I was saying no!

First Impressions..

The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous packaging. It's sleek and sophisticated look is certainly one you want to show off on your bedside table or bathroom sink. The product comes with a pump in a shiny, airless bottle and helps you to distribute just the right amount of product without being afraid of going too OTT.

The second thing I noticed was the gorgeous Rose scent. Now, I know rose can be a very marmite smell with some people but personally I love it! It's not too overwhelming, doesn't have that artificial Grandma's soap smell and it reminds me a lot of Lush's Rose Jam scent (which is a winner in my books!).

Why it's good..

The majority of Baie Botanique's products are made from almost 100% natural ingredients. The face cream is currently 70% organic which means there are virtually no preservatives in the product. This is a moisturiser with anti-oxidant properties, including Vitamin C & Green Tea which are fab for a good all-round refresh.

It's also designed to help slow down signs of premature ageing on the skin, and helps to 'plump, hydrate and replenish' so even though this doesn't apply to me, I'd love to give this to someone who could find it more beneficial to see how it compares.

What do I think?

I've been using this product for the best part of 2 weeks now and whilst I can't admit I've been using it every day, the days I have are the ones where I have noticed a difference.

The formula itself is incredibly luxurious, thick and nourishing which doesn't leave you with that uncomfortable greasy feel after applying. It absorbs really well and I can actually get away with using just one pump to moisturise my entire face.

It doesn't leave my skin feeling irritated and itchy, and whilst this is suitable for all skin types, I'd say this would definitely appeal to people with drier, more sensitive skin type. It certainly helps brighten up my complexion too.

Due to the hydrating nature of this product, I have definitely been reaching for this more in my night time skin care routine as I feel like having a combination skin type, it works better for me as a night cream when my skin is at it's driest. I've even use it as a hand cream here and there!

Price?

The Rose Renew Regenerating Face Cream doesn't come all that cheap retailing at £32.00. Depending on your skincare budget, this could be a little pricey but I think if you find a product you that works for you, then you can't put a price on it.

Another thing to bear in mind is that you get a whopping 50ml of product. Although that may not sound like a lot, a little does go a long way so you certainly get your pennies worth!

Round up..

In all honesty, I did feel slightly hasty to use this at first knowing how crazy my skin has been lately, and I did think this would make me an oily mess. However, after sticking with the product it's actually really helped balance my skin out and I haven't noticed any new skin dilemmas.

I really like the product and now I'm certainly intrigued to try more of the range - especially the eye cream!

Have you tried Baie Botanique? Let me know in the comments :)
