Cocktails At Steinbeck & Shaw, Brighton

Steinbeck and Shaw Brighton

When it comes to cocktails, something awakens an uncontrollable force in me and my motivation to leave the house (and be sociable) sky rockets whilst my bank balance slowly fades into nothingness.

To prove my dedication, the other day I actually queued for 33 minutes precisely in a bar, just because nowhere else around did cocktails..

So as you can imagine, when I received an invite to check out new Brighton bar, Steinbeck and Shaw last week I basically couldn't say no!

Steinbeck and Shaw Brighton

Steinbeck and Shaw is situated on Brighton's famous West Street and is attached to the nightclub PRZYM. Now, I know West Street may not have the best reputation with the Brighton locals, but don't be put off! The bar is a totally different world and has an alternative and edgy, yet classy feel to it. There's even a bloody Carousel horse on top of a piano!

Although you can actually get free entry to the club through here, clubbers can't actually come and go unless they've been drinking there beforehand. I think is a really good idea so people can chop and change if they fancy throwing a few shapes.

I arrived to see the lovely Holly and Sammy (with a giant selection of cocktails on the table) and we had a quick catch up whilst one of the lovely waitresses took our drink order.

Both Sammy and I already had our eye on the Shades of Disco cocktail which includes Absolut Cherry, Licor 43, Cranberry Juice and Strawberry Puree topped with a ting!

Steinbeck and Shaw BrightonNeedless to say, it tasted absolutely incredible and tasted just like Haribo! No word of a lie, probably one of the best cocktails I've ever tasted (even Holly who wasn't drinking approved!).

Whilst our drinks were being rustled up, Damien, the venue manager took us on the grand tour of the Pryzm before hours and their neighbour Lua Lalai Tiki Bar.

Themed bars will always have a special place in my heart and this has definitely secured a place in mine. It was laced with booths with built in ice buckets, festoon lights and a dance floor for when the DJ starts around 10pm. The music is current with a little bit of disco thrown in for fun - so no need to worry about anything cheesy!

Tiki Bar at Przym BrightonOne of the best things that the Tiki bar offers is an actual treasure chest cocktail sharer which comes as part of the VIP package. It costs around £50 alone but it is SO worth it! It comes with straws, sparklers, Hawaiian garlands, fruit and the shots in the punch are tripled! Such a great idea for a birthday or a big event!

If you're not a massive cocktail fan.. fear not! There is a huge drinks menu with everything from craft beers, wine, spirits and even champagne!  They also have a small menu with pizza, popcorn and crisps, so if you're anything like me and enjoy a good drunken snack - you are pretty much sorted!

Thank you so much to Steinbeck and Shaw for inviting us down! I am looking forward to returning very soon!

Have you been here yet? :) x

**I was very kindly invited by the venue for review and all drinks were gifted, but all opinions are 100% honest and my own**
