June Favourites

Ahh! Where is time going?! I feel like all I have to do is blink at the moment and BAM.. Oh hey, next month. Do you ever find yourself trying to think back to the previous year to see if that went as quickly? Well, that. We're not getting any younger, which means I can totally justify my unruly spending habits on more makeup I do not need. Life motto: You can never have too much makeup.

So, without further or do, here's what floated my boat in June.

NYX HD Studio Finishing Powder In Translucent

There seems to have been a lot of hype for this product for ages but omg, I can see why! This stuff works miracles. It's a lose, silica and 100% pure mineral powder which is perfect for setting any foundation or wearing alone.

I was originally scared about how sheer the whiteness of the powder would be but rest assured, it doesn't turn you into Casper the friendly ghost! This literally leaves your skin looking a flawless matte all day long and keeps the shine at bay without having to top it up. Shoutout to all the other combination/oily skin types!

The pot is a little smaller than I am used to and I was slightly worried it wouldn't last very long. However, a little goes a long way and at £8 you can't really go wrong. I can honestly say, this is the best powder I have ever used and I definitely don't think I will be using another one any time soon.

Bronzer is probably the closest thing to fake tan you will ever see me wearing. As we are getting into the swing of Summer (believe it or not) I like to know my face has a natural, tanned glow - which the sun will never give me #palelife.

I love the sturdy packaging, even though it may be slightly bigger than some - at least you know it won't be running out in the near future! I lightly apply this with a powder brush to my face and neck where the sun would hit it, or I will actually use it to contour. This has resulted in giving my skin such a sunkissed, natural finish throughout June. Ps. Can we just appreciate the tribal print?

Andrew Barton SOS Hair Repair Treatment Mask

This isn't the first Andrew Barton product I have owned from the S.O.S range, as last year I had the most amazing leave-in conditioner which they discontinued. Sigh. If you haven't heard of the brand, they are exclusive to Asda and the majority of their hair care costs under £6. How insane is that?

This hair mask cost me a total of £3.20 (nope, you're not dreaming) and it does an amazing job at giving dry & damaged hair the TLC it craves, without the hefty price tag. The mask itself contains Moroccan Argan Oil & Shea Butter, which smells wonderful and works wonders for bleached hair. I leave this on for around 15 minutes mainly focusing on my dry ends, before washing it off . It leaves my hair feeling incredible with an extra boost of moisture to see you through to your next wash!

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara

I've had a bit of a love/hate relationship with this mascara so far. I love it because it gives me SO much lift and volume after only 2-3 strokes on your lashes. The wand is plastic which I am growing to love over the years and I like that isn't the type of applicator that irritates or makes your eyes sore.

Now, I just wanna throw it out there that if you don't like wet mascara formula, then this definitely isn't for you. I think that is only thing I struggled with to begin with an that's why I wasn't so sure. Other than that, there's no reason not to love this product!

NYX Slide On Lip Pencil in Nude Suede Shoes

You're probably wondering about the term 'slide on', right? Lol. Dirty mind's aside, it literally does just that. I love the fact this product is a pencil with a creamy consistency but not as creamy as a retractable lip liner. I originally bought this to match up with my NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm but I ended up just filling in my lips with it instead.

It's such a beautiful nude (if you didn't already guess) with pink undertones, which is great if you're going for a subtle makeup look this Summer. My favourite things about this product are that it's waterproof, the colour pay off is amazing and it's matte without drying out the lips.

Benefit Gimme Brow Volumising Brow Gel

Back in May, Benefit were doing a promotion where you get a free Gimme Brow with every wax or tint in one of their stores. Luckily for me, I get my eyebrows waxed at my local Benefit counter every month and it just so happened that my old brow gel was running out. Perfect timing or what?!

The only shade they had left was 'Light' which I didn't think would suit me, considering I have black eyebrows. However, I was so surprised when it turned out to be a really great match. As I have blonde hair now, it made my eyebrows look a lot more subtle but much fuller than before! I use this alone if I'm feeling lazy, although if I'm going all out I will fill in my brows with Benefit's Goof Proof as an added extra.

What have you been loving lately? :)
