August Favourites

August Favourites

Hello September! As much as I was loving Summer, I'm not so keen on the fact it rained the entire way through August. I don't know about you but I'm so ready for Autumn and Winter now. My Pinterest boards are turning so orange and cosy themed it's making me so excited!

Not even gonna lie to you, I'm already wearing my Christmas socks whilst I write this.

Here's what I loved last month..

ATypical - Netflix - Here

When Netflix released the trailer for this, I was in stitches and I knew I had to watch it as soon as it came out. Within a week, I'd watched the whole series. It's about an autistic boy and the trials and tribulations of him and his family. It's funny, enlightening and emotional all in one and I 100% recommend that you watch it because it's such a great series.

L'Oreal Paradise Mascara - Here - £11.99

L'Oreal Paradise Mascara Review

OMFG. I have found my new holy grail mascara. For ages, I've been on the hunt for a dupe of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and I think this is it.. If not better!!

Firstly, the packaging is Rose Gold and there's no way I was saying no to that. Secondly, it was on offer in Superdrug and that had me double sold. The brush is soft and shaped perfectly to give you instant length (no exaggeration!) and volume all in one. All of that and it doesn't flake. Honestly, miracles do happen people.

I have even been asked if I am wearing false eyelashes whilst wearing this. That's when you know it's an amazing mascara! 100 million percent recommend!

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Matte & Porelesss in 104 Soft Ivory - Here - £6.99

So back in my June Favourites, I fell in love with the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer which you can read about here. I knew it was only a matter of time before I picked up the foundation, so that's exactly what I did!

Now, there are definitely about 10 million different shades of this foundation so finding a match was somewhat difficult. However, I ended up going for Soft Ivory which is maybe slightly too light, but it's workable.

I love how this foundation sits on the skin and how easy it is to blend, as well as the matte look it gives you. It's not too drying and I find this has great medium to buildable coverage!

The Life Changing Magic Of Not Giving A F*ck - Here - £9.09

The Life Changing Magic Of Not Giving A F*ck

I received this book last Christmas from Jack and I've literally only just got around to reading it. I don't know why it's taken me so long and although I haven't finished it yet, it's a great book to pick up if you're feeling a bit demotivated. It really gives you a piece of mind, brings you back down to earth and gives you some great tips on how to improve your lifestyle.

I've also personally found it's something you can pick up every so often and read from where you left off, it's that kind of book! Thoroughly enjoying it so far.

Austin Basham - Here

Looking for the most relaxing, serene music you've ever heard in your entire life? Listen to Austin Basham and all of your worries will float away.  He has the most beautiful voice and when I listen to his music, I literally picture myself drifting off on a boat into a calming paradise. Better still, his music reminds me of everything autumn and happy.

HE IS AMAZING AND I URGE YOU ALL TO LISTEN TO HIM IMMEDIATELY.

What did you love last month? Let me know if you've heard of any of these!
