April Favourites

It seems lately, every time I sit down to write a new monthly favourites post, I feel like I only just finished the last one. Time is flying by faster than ever this year and I can't quite come to terms with the fact it's already May?! Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, as May is probably one of my favourite months of the year, but April always seems to drag. I feel like I spent so much time indoors, lacking motivation and plans because it was just constantly raining. April showers really did live up to it's name this year! On the brightside though, I did use some amazing products which have really worked miracles for me so here they are!

GOSH Roll On Eye Primer and Refresh

After reading Brianne's review on this primer a while back, I don't think I have ever gone out and bought something so quickly in my entire life. I'm always looking out for eye primers which aren't sticky but also refresh my eyes at the same time, especially in the mornings when they are tired and puffy. This literally helps me out with all of those things, aswell as cooling and tightening my eyes. I find if I forget to use this, I notice visible fine lines under my eyes after doing my makeup - which tells you that this works and isn't laced with false claims!

The applicator has 3 roller balls which which help you to distribute the product evenly, without leaving to much excess. I love to roll this round my eyes a few times and use a BeautyBlender to help it set on my skin. Since using this, I've noticed a great improvement on how long my eyeshadow and under eye concealer has been staying on for, and how much more awake it makes my eyes feel in the mornings (even if I am still bloomin' exhausted!) It's also perfume and paraben free.

Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Face Primer

I started using this Primer back in January after getting it as a freebie with my incredible Too Faced Born This Way Foundation. Admittedly, I didn't use it too much to begin with because it is only a tester size aka. Gold Dust, although lately I haven't been able to restrain myself from reaching for it.

It is a tinted balm texture similar to Benefit's Porefessional, however I feel like it lasts longer. This is an amazing base for any foundation, powder or bronzer and I find it just helps my make up glide on so effortlessly. It reduces the appearance of pores, blurring them almost instantly and does an amazing job of keeping my make up on all day long, without feeling like it's sliding off. It is a little pricier than your average high street primer, but totally worth your hard earned pennies!

Bee Good Lift & Brighten Eye Cream

This stuff is so amazing. It's a cream formula, which has quite a thick consistency and honestly the most hydrating eye cream I have ever used. I'm not even kidding you when I say this lifts my eyes almost instantly and I really notice a difference as soon as I've applied it. It tightens and firms the skin under your eyes without that uncomfortable feeling and reduces the appearance of fine lines massively. This brightens your eyes aswell as reduce the appearance of your dark circles, which I always rave on about needing help for - so that's a massive winner for me and my tired eyes.

I apply this in a clockwise direction (against the direction of my eyebrows) to my orbital bone, using only a grain sized amount of product. It distributes so well and sinks into the skin so perfectly. This is only the 5ml travel size I got given at the Brighton Blog Meet (post here) and it has lasted me for almost a month, so you can imagine how long the 15ml will last! I've pretty much run out of the tester which makes me very sad, but I am definitely purchasing the full sized product as soon as I can!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft And Gentle

Okay, this highlighter though. This is such a marmite product, as I've seen so many mixed reviews on it, but I can safely say that I am a lover! Now, don't get me wrong, it is very shimmery. Personally, that doesn't bother me because y'know, all of the glitter.. I will definitely use this if I am going on a night out. or in the day time if I'm going for the more dewy, glowing look. If you are a lover of the matte look then I definitely don't recommend this, as it can be slightly overwhelming and make you look like you've just transformed into Edward Cullen.

I tend to use this the mostly in the evenings because of how intense it can be, but it's also really nice if you want that summer glow to your cheeks. This highlight is a beautiful Champagne colour with a hints of gold shimmer and I can't rate it highly enough. I get so many compliments when I wear this so there's another reason you quite possibly need this in your lives!

Make Up Revolution Baked Blush in 'All I Think About Is You'

I am all for a rosy cheek at any time of the year, especially the spring - as it makes me look like I have much more colour. This is a beautiful bright pink blush, with very subtle hints of gold shimmer running through it, to help emphasise your cheekbones.

It is super pigmented and I only need the smallest bit of product on my brush for it to leave such a pretty finish. I'd just like to add that if you get a little bit brush happy (like I have done a few times) then fear not, because the product is so easy to blend out/make more subtle if you go overboard! I love all of Makeup Revolution's products and I would even go as far as saying this is my favourite blush of all time! At £2.50 you can't go wrong!

What have you been loving recently?
