Rimmel London Volume Shake Mascara Review

Rimmel London Volume Shake Mascara Review

When it comes to my lashes, they are incredibly stubborn and sparse, which means finding a mascara that works for me is usually some kind of miracle.

I recently received the new Rimmel Volume Shake Mascara* through the post and needless to say I was very intrigued. My first impression of the product was that it's heavier than your normal every day mascara. Not only that, it's friggen shakeable - aren't Rimmel loving their shake technology at the moment?!
The best thing about the new patented shaker is that it prevents the mascara from drying out, which is such a great idea! So, when you feel like the mascara needs a bit of a refresh, just give it a few shakes and voila - good as new!

As this is a volume-based mascara, I find it sits more at the base of my next-to-nothing lashes, but it's definitely buildable. For length and lift, I prefer to use the Wonder'full Mascara with Argan Oil which I mentioned in my recent Drugstore GRWM

The soft brush makes it effortless to apply and although very similar, it isn't as big in comparison to the Scandaleyes Reloaded Mascaras that Rimmel released late last year. I find this really easy to use and it doesn't catch on the skin like a larger brush would.

Although I love the wand itself, I do find it doesn't lift my lashes as quickly as a plastic one would. Purely because I have such slippery and unresponsive lashes. For anyone else, I don't think this would be a problem.

Rimmel have had some cracking new mascara releases this year, and it seems that one of their main focuses for this product is its clump-free formula. After wearing this most days for the last week or two, I can confirm I've not had any problems with clumps and it's actually such a nice formula to use. It's not too wet either!

Overall, I'd say this is definitely more of a subtle mascara, so if you like your lashes to look like they are naturally full of volume then this is definitely one for you!

Have you tried the new Volume Shake Mascara?
