May Favourites

So, I sucked at being a blogger in May. I don't know why, I just couldn't sit down and write a post without getting stupidly distracted. Or falling down 2 stairs and spraining my ankle.. True story.

Usually these posts are all about beauty favourites but shock horror, I haven't actually purchased any new makeup this month. I know, wtf?! To be honest, I think I just spend my money on more lifestyle-y based bits this month so here they are!

Slam Dunk Festival 2017 | Here

OMG if you went, wasn't this year just the best? If you haven't read Jasmine's post on it yet, you must as she's done an amazing roundup!

I really wasn't all that stoked about the lineup this year until I really started listening to some bands properly (or rekindling love for old ones) but I wasn't left disappointed by a single band we saw. Highlights for me had to be Seaway, With Confidence, WSTR and Neck Deep.

Despite having a massively swollen and painful ankle, it still managed to be a fab day spent with some wonderful people. Big love!

Girl Boss | Netflix | Here

I've become a bit of a Netflix fanatic in recent months. Mainly due to the fact I was ridiculously ill in April and I am basically now one big walking injury.

Anyway, after reading most of the book - I had to see what the series would be like. Turns out it was so good that I watched it in 2 days! It's a funny, emotional rollercoaster of story about a girl Sophia (played by Britt Robertson) who is a bit of a tearaway and her story on how she started up the famous vintage clothing brand, Nasty Gal.

I enjoyed it a lot and if you liked the book, I definitely recommend watching this! :)

L'Oreal Colourista Washout Pastel Pink Hair Colour | £6.99 | Here

Now, I have NEVER EVER been this adventurous with my hair.

Admittedly, this was only a temporary colour but I've always wanted to try a pastel/crazy colour in my hair. In recent months, the blonde in my hair has lightened massively and it only seemed right to give it a whack for my favourite festival - Slam Dunk.

I already have balyage hair (which seriously needs re-doing!) so I worked the pink over as much blonde as I could (mainly focusing on the ends) and it took surprisingly well! It also acts as a conditioner for your hair, so it leaves your hair super soft with no orange-y tones when it fades either.

Although it does only last a few washes, I LOVED it pink and I'll definitely be buying the colour again. For £6.99 and a bit of fun, it's so worth it!

Annings Elderflower and Cucumber Fruit Cider | Here

OMG. If this isn't my life for the rest of the summer, I don't know what will be! It is the most refreshing, non bloating cider I've ever tasted and I'm obsessed. If you haven't tried this, you have to!

Superdrug Vitamin E Micellar Water | £2.99 | Here

Sorry but how good is the Superdrug Vitamin E range? I feel like I haven't stopped going on about it since discovering it! This is great for drier, more sensitive skin types and it's removes your makeup gently with just a couple of cotton pads.

It doesn't sting your eyes when removing mascara and smells of sun cream, which is personally one of my fave smells ever! With it being slightly smaller in comparison to some other micellar waters on the market, it lasts about a month or so depending on how much you use it.

It's cruelty free and so affordable in comparison to The Body Shop Vitamin E range! Highly recommend.

Pretty - Don Broco | Here

Admittedly, when the video for this was released it span me out ridiculous amounts. That being said, I am completely in love with the fact Don Broco have gone back to their heavier stuff. It's such a tune and I'm so glad I got to catch it at Slam Dunk (whilst scoffing my face with a pizza!). #Standard.

I hope you don't mind a different kind of favourites this month, I just thought it'd be nice to mix it up for the usual. Do let me know your thoughts :)
