New In: Real Techniques PowderBleu Collection

Real Techniques PowderBleu Collection

When I first entered the wonderful world of makeup brushes, Real Techniques were the first brand I started using. Their brushes are affordable, great quality and aesthetically pleasing all in one, and I can guarantee they sell any brush suitable for whatever look you are trying to create!

So, as you can imagine, I totally lost it when I saw their PowderBleu Collection* had been released and landed on my doorstep!

First off, these have to be the softest, most luxurious brushes I have ever owned - literally the silkiest things in the world! The bristles are totally synthetic, vegan and cruelty-free with new FauxBleu Technology, which is designed to work just as well as real Blue Squirrel hair.

They glide along the face so effortlessly and make doing my makeup so much easier. Not to mention, they take so much time off of my standard routine!

The handles are long, tapered and a beautiful ombré blue colour which is a gorgeous, sleek addition to any brush collection. I honestly think they are the most sophisticated looking brushes I own! They are sturdy and don't feel floppy when you try to use them (...ya know what I mean?!).

Not only that, these brushes are designed to give you a flawless look without disrupting the base of your makeup. To be completely honest, I genuinely thought all brushes did this anyway but until I started using these, I noticed an immediate difference! They are SO impressive!

B01 Soft Powder Brush - £22.00 - Here

I'm not even exaggerating when I say that this is the most incredible powder brush I've used. I have a lot of powders that most of the time really don't sit well on my skin and tend to cake if I don't apply them quick enough. This, however, is the biggest game-changer! No matter how fast or slow I apply any powder now, it doesn't cake at all and my foundation stays completely intact! For someone who always forgets/ is too lazy to use to use primer, this comes in very handy!

B02 - Soft Finishing Brush - £22.00

The B02 is definitely the brush I have found the most versatile! The end is tapered, which is great for contouring as it gives you precision quickly and easily. Not only that, it works really well in helping your concealer set under your eyes, as well as highlighting on your cheekbones! I think this might be my favourite brush of the set!

B03 - Soft Complexion Brush - £22.00

This brush reminds me a lot of one of my first ever RT brushes (the Expert Face Brush) except this is more domed at the top. I can't say I've had a great deal of use out of this yet, as I think it's mainly suited to powder foundations and I've been scared to try it out with liquid foundation in case I ruin the brush!

I have however found it super useful if I accidentally go a bit overboard with the contour, it really helps to even out the look without smudging it all over your face.

When I eventually own a powder foundation, I will be sure to update this post with how I got on with it.

B04 - Soft Shadow Brush - £15.00

For someone who really tries hard not to totally suck at eyeshadow, finding decent brushes to help my case always proves a little difficult! I'm not gonna lie, I am a little sad that this was the only eye brush in the collection - I reckon they could have completely smashed it out of the park with more but either way, this brush totally constitutes for a whole set!

It picks up product really well and distributes it in a gentle way. No matter what eyeshadow I use, there is literally no fallout whatsoever! I'm using this most at the moment to blend and soften the looks that turn out a slightly more drastic than I first hoped - so far, it's been a bloody delight!

Real Techniques PowderBleu Collection

Overall, I am fully obsessed with the new Powder Bleu collection and I think you all will be too! Thank you so much to Real Techniques and Influenster for the chance to try these out!

Have you tried these brushes yet?! :)
