Salon Success Jingle & Mingle Event | Blogmas #6

Last Tuesday, myself and a few other local bloggers were invited by Salon Success to their Jingle & Mingle event at Hotel Du Vin, Brighton. I've actually been to Hotel Du Vin before for previous events and it's such a beautiful place. The staff did a great job at accommodating us and made us feel very welcome, which is always a great added bonus!

I went along with LauraSophie and Rosie after catching up over a quick cocktail beforehand, then we ended up bumping into the lovely Aine & Lyndsay at the actual event too! Yay! #Winning.

When we arrived, we were greeted by the fab Amy & Mickaela who were so friendly and really made an effort to get involved with us all! It didn't take long for the complimentary prosecco to start flowing, which of course made me very happy after a long day at work!

The table was laid out with photo props, our name tags and personal food choices for the evening. We were also very kindly given products tailored to our individual needs, and had the opportunity to learn more about them throughout the evening.

After more wine, we were introduced to each product, along with their benefits and purposes which was so interesting! Most were by Paul Mitchell, as well as the New CID Cosmetics and L'Avoly.

The majority of the products we were very given haven't actually been released yet. Of course I will do a separate post all about the goodies and how I am getting on with them, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that!

After lots of product talk and general chitchat, we were given the most INCREDIBLE 3 course meal (I know, we were treated so well!)  I mean, as much as I love beauty products, food is the way to my heart.

To start we had Pumpkin & Parmesan Soup (..holy effing crap, this was AMAZING!) I've only ever eaten Pumpkin Soup once (which had the seeds blended in with it by accident..) so as you can probably guess, this was much nicer!

For main, the majority of us had Slow Roast Pork Belly with Mustard Dauphinoise and Prune Sauce. I'd never tried Pork Belly before and I thought I wouldn't like it, but it was surprisingly very nice! The prune sauce really made the whole meal too!

Sticky Toffee Pudding and Clotted Cream Ice Cream was for dessert. Just look at it! I'm drooling whilst writing this now. Needless to say, it tasted amazing - honestly the best sticky toffee I've ever had! Merry Christmas to me!

Overall, I couldn't have asked for better girls to spend the evening with. We all laughed so much and had such a great time catching up with each other, I'd happily do it all over again.

Thank you so much to Amy & Mickaela, and to Salon Success for putting on such a great evening for us all. I can't wait for the next one!

Have you been to any events lately? :)
