What I Got For Christmas 2016

Greeeeetings!!

Firstly, did you all have a great Christmas? I hope you did!

Next, I just want to state that this isn't a BraggyMcBrag post of what I got for Christmas. I just know that I am a pretty nosy person, so I figured if I am, then you probably are too!
I'm going to try and break this down into sections, this one being from my family (with some stocking fillers from Jack) and a full boyfriend version next week as well. Hopefully it won't be too late I have been waiting for my lighting to arrive.. Silly post!

Makeup & Cosmetics

What I Got For Christmas 2016 - Makeup & Tools

This kind of had to go first, didn't it?! I have already tried the majority of these products, so I won't go into full detail, as I want to make a point of reviewing more stuff next year. To start, Real Techiniques HAVE to be one of my favourite brush brands out there and I've had my eye on these for a while. As expected, they have been an absolute dream to use!

Next, were some palettes and tools from Makeup Revolution. I got the Iconic Lights Contour Palette, The New-Trals VS. Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette, the Pro Makeup Eraser Towel and some of their eye makeup brushes! All of which have been a delight so far!

Then, the happiness sprung to my makeup bag when I got the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer! The Born This Way Foundation has to be my favourite ever, so I knew the concealer couldn't disappoint. Thankfully, this is worth the higher end price tag and it gives such an amazing, creamy coverage (without those under eye shadows!)

Sweets & Chocolate

What I Got For Christmas 2016 - Food

Yep. Santa obviously wanted me to put on another 16 stone this year (not that I'm complaining, it'd be totally worth it..) I don't know if it's obvious what my favourite sweets are *cough* Percy Pigs *cough*. Mike & Ike's are also the BEST (alongside JellyBelly) and if you haven't tried their Mega Mix, you need to!

Also, how cool are the decorate your own Christmas jumpers?!

Books

What I Got For Christmas 2016 - Books

A bit of a random selection of books here! After reading the Girl Online series so far and loving Zoe's writing style, I knew I needed to get more answers after Girl Online: On Tour! This is definitely one of those cute, teenage love stories (which is definitely my guilty pleasure) and I can't wait to get stuck into book number 3!

Even though my Nan technically shouldn't buy for me anymore, she was still an absolute gem and got me a photography book! I love books like this with tips and tricks (and always need more advice on using a camera) so I think she hit the nail on the head! Thanks Nan! :)

#GirlBoss is a book I think every blogger wants or needs in their life. I've actually seen this floating around on Instagram for a while, but never actually got round to buying it. Thank god for Christmas lists! ;) Hopefully it'll be really helpful to see what kind of tips I can pick up to help the blog be more successful!

Fragrance, Home & Body

What I Got For Christmas 2016 - Fragrance & Body

Okay, so I actually got A LOT of smelly stuff.. Are my family trying to tell me something?

Some of it isn't actually pictured here, but I also managed to get Lush's Rub Rub Rub (which is my favourite body scrub ever!) and a set of 6 mini shower gels. In addition to all of this!!

I don't mean to make myself look like a Zoella fangirl, but I literally can't help it. Her product releases this year have even absolutely ON point, whether that's her lifestyle range or christmas gift sets. I fell in love with the Seaside Stroll Reed Diffuser as soon as I smelt it, and I really love the Secret Scenta Mini Fragrance Set. The mini's are bloody adorable!

The perfume which I photographed (so terribly it didn't even fit in the picture) is Davidoff Cool Water. I don't know what it is about this scent, maybe the nostalgia that comes with it but I just love it so much!

How could I forget The Body Shop products? Their Strawberry scent (especially The Body Polish) is the best thing you could ever smell! I also got given the mini body butter gift set too, which includes all different smells including the Strawberry, Fuji Green Tea, Shea Butter & Coconut!

Hair & Storage

What I Got For Christmas 2016 - Hair

Maybe not as aesthetically pleasing as the rest of this stuff, but probably some of the most useful!

I asked for a curling wand mainly this year, as I am really not sure how long my GHD's have left to live (and they never curl as good as a wand). Plus, I've never actually used a curling wand. I got the Babyliss Curling Wand Pro which is actually really good - it give you the most beautiful curls/ beachy waves.

I love the glitzy Andrew Barton mini gift set too - you can't go wrong with his products! They're so affordable and work amazingly! I also needed some Acrylic Makeup Drawers to add underneath my makeup organiser, which are significantly smaller but still do the job!

What I Got For Christmas 2016

I've included as much as I can from this photo (apologies for the photo quality lately, I've been lazy using my phone!!) I'm definitely going to get better at it in the new year! Let me know if you'd like to see the boyfriend edition!

What did you get for Christmas?
